La Piu Belle
WBSS 2025 Crest Image

Lashings of rich black fruit, pyrazines, papaya, roasted peppers, olives and balsamic oil on the nose. Jammy and juicy palate, great tannins, warm alcohol, forest fruit with toasty plush oak giving a velvet texture. A voluptuous, complex and intense Carmenère blend from VIK winery - perfect with braised ox cheeks.

La Piu Belle

La Piu Belle 2021 is a wine with ideas that flow in its intensity, which is characteristic of Carmenère, its main variety. It spent 20 months in French oak barrels, with 15% aged in BARROIR (toasted oak barrels from the same property).

NOTES

Lashings of rich black fruit and pyrazines, papaya, roasted peppers, olives and balsamic oil on the nose. Jammy and juicy in the mouth with great tannins, warm alcohol, forest fruit and toasty oak melding together for a velvet texture. A little angular and a touch of bitterness on the finish suggest slightly ambitious winemaking.

Food
PAIRINGS

This would suit roast partridge, or braised ox cheek, mashed potatoes and green beans, or, of course, asados Argentinos.
