Aged for two years in French oak, the tannins are sweet, fine-grained, and wrapped around luscious black fruit. Enjoy it with oxtail.

Cuesta de las Liebres is Pago de Carraovejas' most powerful and limited wine, produced exclusively from hillside parcels of old‑vine Tempranillo planted on limestone‑rich slopes in Ribera del Duero that require extreme viticulture.

NOTES

Crafted from 100% tempranillo, dark fruit rules the roost in this well balanced wine. On the nose macerated plums, black cherries and blackberries intermingle with sweet spices, black pepper, cocoa, vanilla and tobacco leaf from the oak, with hints of cedar wood, earth and graphite also coming through. Intense and concentrated on the palate, it's a powerful, complex and multi-layered wine with high acid, sweet fine-grained tannins, and a long finish.
