Château d'Esclans' top drop, Garrus 2024 is crafted from 100-year-old grenache vines planted in limestone-rich, high elevation sites. Fermented and aged in large French oak barrels, with batonnage performed twice weekly for added texture, the result is an elegant and complex rosé that will age gracefully and pair a treat with seafood.

Garrus

Garrus is the pinnacle of the Château d'Esclans portfolio. Crafted from nearly century‑old vines in high-elevation vineyards on rocky limestone soils and fermented in French oak, it showcases exceptional concentration and longevity.

Chateau d Esclans

Launched after Lichine's 2006 acquisition, Garrus has been central to establishing rosé as a fine‑wine category, earning cult status among critics and collectors. The wine's signature combination of elegance, depth and ageability reflects both the estate's high‑quality fruit and its innovative, Burgundy‑influenced approach to rosé craftsmanship.

Tasting
NOTES

This refined salmon pink Provence rosé begins with refreshing notes of raspberry, orange peel, lime zest, pink grapefruit and white peach, which are echoed on the palate, along with white flowers, crushed herbs, white nectarine and sea spray. The acidity is bright and vibrant and the palate is rich, rounded and well balanced, with layers of complexity, sweet spices from the oak, and a bitter almond finish. An elegant, unctuous, well-made rosé.

Food
PAIRINGS

Seafood is the obvious partner for this Provence rosé. Try it with scallop carpaccio, prawn cocktail, salmon gravlax, or fried sea bream with sundried tomatoes and capers.
