The Barolos of Brunate stand out as aromatically bold and supple from the start and Ceretto Barolo Brunate 2021 is no different. Sourced from two plots within the prized Brunate site, this ethereal Barolo offers a carousel of flavours, from black cherry and dried roses to wood smoke. Try it with a mushroom tart.

Barolo Brunate

Ceretto is a historic Langhe family estate founded in the 1930s, now recognised for its organic viticulture and terroir‑first approach to Barolo and Barbaresco. The Brunate bottling comes from one of Barolo's most celebrated crus, known for its perfumed nebbiolo and classical structure.

Brunate is praised for its aromatic finesse and balance, reflected in recent releases showing vibrant fruit, floral lift and refined tannins. Ceretto's third‑generation leadership has emphasised sustainability, land stewardship and a focus on cru‑specific identity, making Brunate a benchmark expression of La Morra's elegance.

Tasting
NOTES

A Barolo that's showing incredible balance early on and will likely age incredibly, on the nose are intense notes of ripe black cherry, candied fruits, dried red flowers, rosemary and thyme along with citrus notes of grapefruit zest. Powerful and precise, on the palate it's concentrated with firm, fine-grained tannins and a hint of smoke on the persistent finish. A wine with a long life ahead of it that will gain in complexity over time.

Food
PAIRINGS

The earthy notes in this Barolo make it a perfect match for a mushroom tart with shaved white truffles, or roast quail in a morel sauce.
