Nino Franco was early to the prosecco party, creating its first vintage in 1983. Nino Franco Spumanti Grave di Stecca Brut 2018 is made from 100% glera from a prized single vineyard in Valdobbiadene. This vibrant sparkler with notes of baked lemon and white peach is calling out for scallop carpaccio with yuzu.

Grave di Stecca Brut

Grave di Stecca Brut is the flagship sparkling wine from Nino Franco, crafted from a single, walled vineyard near Valdobbiadene.

The 2018 vintage highlights the exceptional character of this site, where old vines on well‑drained soils produce fruit of remarkable purity and concentration. Gentle pressing and cool fermentation retain delicate aromatics, while extended lees ageing adds texture and complexity beyond typical prosecco styles.

Grave di Stecca Brut

Grave di Stecca showcases Nino Franco's dedication to craftsmanship, site specificity and elevated sparkling wine production in the region. The 2018 vintage is elegant, distinctive and built for both immediate pleasure and graceful evolution.

Tasting
NOTES

Bright, zesty and energetic on the attack, the nose bursts forth with Granny Smith apple, baked lemon, quince, almonds and delicate citrus blossom aromas. A crisp and clean style of prosecco, on the palate you'll find fragrant white peaches, pear, nectarine peel, sea salt and lime, which gives the wine a pleasing bitterness and structure. Well balanced, with refreshing acidity, it's an easy-drinking sparkler with the residual sugar balancing out the sharpness.

Food
PAIRINGS

This refreshing, pear-scented fizz makes an ideal apéririf or partner for seafood dishes like scallop carpaccio with a yuzu sauce, or cured mackerel with pickled gooseberry.
