Vallado Field Blend Reserve

The Field Blend Reserve embodies Quinta do Vallado's connection to the Douro's traditional viticulture, where dozens of indigenous varieties grow interplanted in ancient vineyards. Vallado, established in 1716, has long championed these sites as a cornerstone of regional identity.

The 2022 Reserve is sourced from old vines across prime parcels, harvested and co‑fermented to preserve natural complexity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel before ageing in French oak barrels, allowing the wine to develop layered texture while maintaining vibrancy.

The estate's method balances tradition with contemporary winemaking, resulting in a wine that captures the Douro's depth – ripe berry fruit, schist-driven minerality, and fine, polished tannins.
