Ruffino, founded in 1877 in Tuscany, blends deep regional heritage with a modern, internationally recognised portfolio.
Alauda represents one of its more contemporary projects, designed to showcase the potential of Tuscan terroir through a blend of merlot and cabernet franc. Grapes are sourced from hillside vineyards with rocky, well-drained soils that promote concentration. The 2021 vintage undergoes fermentation in stainless steel, followed by extended ageing in French oak to build structure and aromatic complexity.

Ruffino's approach combines precision farming with a focus on crafting wines that merge Tuscan identity with global appeal. Alauda is rich, expressive and polished, highlighting the estate's evolution from traditional Chianti producer to a multifaceted winery capable of delivering modern, ageworthy Super Tuscan styles.
