Hedonis represents Feudo Arancio's most hedonistic interpretation of Sicilian nero d'avola, sourced from vineyards in Sambuca oriented to capture early morning sunlight and create micro‑scale diurnal variation across grapes and leaves. The estate farms clay‑rich soils under warm days and cool nights, enabling full phenolic maturity.

The winemaking is distinctive: part of the nero d'avola undergoes traditional fermentation with frequent pump‑overs for colour and tannin extraction, followed by malolactic conversion and ageing in new French and American oak for 18-20 months. A second portion undergoes controlled appassimento – 40-45 days of drying before fermentation – adding richness and dried‑fruit intensity. The final blend, combining conventionally vinified and appassimento fruit, creates a plush, concentrated wine with layers of black cherry, plum, sweet spices and tobacco.
